Quintessential's first CD release "Almost Live" was recorded like many classic jazz albums were recorded in the past-a gig that just happened to take place in a recording studio instead of a club. Our goal with album was to capture the feel of a live jazz gig with studio quality sound.  Unlike many albums that are recorded and then edited into something that cannot be duplicated on stage, Almost Live captures the sound and feel of Quintessential playing live. Quintessential's second CD "QUINTESSENTIAL Christmas" 
Christmas carols and songs, including Christmas Time is Here from Charlie Brown's  Christmas, featuring variety of classic jazz styles.  We were happy to have the opportunity to record this album at Turtle Recording in White Rock, BC.  Turtle specializes in live to tape analog recording, capturing that familiar warm live jazz sound heard in so many classic jazz albums.  The band spent nearly six months rehearsing and preparing to record in response to the many requests we have received for a CD when playing Christmas gigs.  A big thank you to Brad and Larry at Turtle Recording!
